1990: TD #5 (Diana) Forms east of Nicaragua.
1993: TD #3 (Bret) forms over the Atlantic Ocean.
2000: TD #3 strengthens into Tropical Storm Alberto.
2002: TD#2 (Bertha) forms in the Gulf of Mexico.
2004: Hurricane Alex becomes a Major Hurricane, becoming the second Category 3 hurricane to form north of 38N latitude. (Hurricane Ellen of 1973 is the only other one)
2005: TD #9 (Irene) forms near the Cape Verde Islands.
